Norwich City 0 Saints 2

Saints travelled to Norwich to take on the League leaders who had won at home in their last 11 games and beat them 0-2. This was no capitulation by Norwich - rather a demonstration that Southampton are beginning to get into their stride and contiue a league run that sees them unbeaten in 5 matches.

I was watching the 'live text' on the BBC and for a lot of the game Saints had over 70% of the possession. In the end it averaged out at 62% which is an indication of how strong the team has become - a huge encouragement. It was also good to see Pardew field his strongest side after the turbulence of players being cup-tied in either the FA Cup or JPT. Puncheon gave a strong display and it was really good to see Barnard score a couple of goals. Lallana hit the wood work twice too. The defence is looking solid and it was good to see Fonte and Jaidi pairing up well together.

A very encouraging result. Next match Tuesday against Wycombe. "Let's be having you!"
