Saints 3 MK Dons 1

Que sera sera, whatever will be will be,
we're going to Wemberley, que sera sera.

In near freezing temperatures Saints came out of the starting blocks at full speed and dominated a game to win 4-1 on aggregate. MK Dons had injuries running to double figures and so fielded a make-shift team. Saints had four new signings cup-tied but were still able to field an extremely strong side.

With a crowd of almost 30,000 it was a wonderful experience and with the Northam End almost all Saints hard-core, they created a wall of sound Phil Spector would be proud of.

The good news is we are going to Wembley for the final of the Johnstone Paints Trophy on Palm Sunday. I shall be making a different pilgrimmage to my usual one as I walk up Wembley Way this year. The good news is that we shall be playing Carlisle United rather than Leeds United. We drew at Carlisle earlier this season and I hope we would win at Wembley - we shall see.
